All Polling locations will be open at 6:00 am and close at 7:00 pm the day of the Election (March 3, 2020)



Voter Registration

For your convenience, you can now update or check your voter registration information on the Virginia Department of Elections website.

Last day to register to vote in the Primary will be February 10th.

ATTENTION: Absentee Voting has started

Absentee Voting has begun in the General Registrar’s Office Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Tuesday February 25th is the last day to request an Absentee Ballot to be mailed for the March Primary.

Our office will be open Saturday the 29th from 9:00 to 5:00 for the last day of Absentee Voting in person for the March Primary.

Elementary School voters you will be voting in the gym. The gym parking will be for handicap and curbside only. All others will need to park in the usual parking area. Follow signs to the main door.

Our mission is to serve the citizens of King George County and the Commonwealth by being uniform in our practices for all elections; to provide easy access to registration and casting of votes within election laws and guidelines.

We protect the integrity of the electoral process and efficiently conduct all elections under the provisions of Title 24.2 of the Code of Virginia; implement the National Voter Registration Act; provide on-site registration opportunities to high school students and naturalized citizens; maintain accurate voter registration records.  We strive to maintain a continuous professional level of service to the public.

Official Voting Information for King George County

The constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in which you live in order to be qualified to vote. Current law requires everyone who is voting to have a valid photo ID. The Registrar's Office can provide a photo ID if one is needed.
